Works by Jaap Ravelli (born 1916) are much loved by the
Dutch.
Ravelli founded his studio in Valkenburg, now part of Katwijk, in 1947.
In addition to beautiful art pottery, he produced an extensive line of whimsical figurines.
Although he closed his studio in 1977, he continued to produce fine ceramics on a limited scale.
