ABOUT
I am pleased to share with you my passion for mid-century
ceramics.
The beauty of hand made pottery has been an attraction to me since my youth
in rural Oregon.
Ashland, Oregon had yet to gentrify and had many shops selling hand made
items from
the surrounding hippie communes, much of it ceramic. While living in Amsterdam
years later,
I was exposed to a genre of pottery I never knew existed. I was quickly smitten
by the
heavy glazes and primitive styles that the Dutch championed mid-century while
the
delicate Swedish styles were the rage in America and much of Europe.
It didn’t take long before I was immersed in the world of collectors
and dealers all over the Netherlands.
By the time I returned to America four years later I had accumulated over
400 pots.
I have since added a few hundred more. After coming to the realization that
I would
never be able to display my entire collection I decided to sell some of my
pots.
The response was overwhelming and led to the creation of this website.
I receive shipments of ceramics from Holland on a regular basis and
will update the website frequently.
